Animal Rights
Aren't animal rights people wonderful....when they do this, this (see also this), and not content with that, they decide to target a nursery. See also here.
If a human life apparently means so little to them, how can they comment on animal life?
They need to be dealt with like the vicious bastards that they are. Hmm...does that mean they are terrorists?
Please note: I am not lumping all the animal charities that are out there, including the RSPCA, RSPB, PDSA etc. with the lunatic element.
Is animal testing relevant? Yes. Unless of course you want to volunteer in order to test newr medicines. I believe that most people wouldn't volunteer. After all, there are side effects that have to be considered.
A lot of the beauty products as well as general stuff like shampoo have been tested on animals. If they aren't, then they are based on results of tests that have been carried out. What about medicine? Some of the stuff we have been innoculated with has be developed from animal testing, and that is before you consider operations, be they life saving or otherwise. See here for examples. Regulatory requirements for Medicines. All from Huntingdon Life Sciences. Go to Company Overview and read. Check out the rest of the site.
Is it 'nice'? No it isn't. Is it necessary? Yes, I believe it is. We will eventually get to the point where it is not needed, as technology will provide all the information required. Until then however, companies such as Huntingdon Life Sciences are enabling us, our pets, and our livestock to be healthy and long lived.

Hello from Portugal ! Nice blog !
Hi Nuno, thanks for visiting.
Argos....are you suggesting that they would offer themselves up as test fodder? I somehow doubt they would be that interested.
