Politics Part 2

Well the little disagreement between the House of Commons and the House of Lords appears to be turning into a bit of a major argument.

Fun? Oh yes. Also necessary. It is basically about checks and balances. The House of Lords is effectively a check on the actions of the House of Commons. It is there to make sure that the measures and laws made are appropriate for the country, and not excessive.

This is what the crux of the debate between the Houses is about, and the consideration needed for the Bill being debated was not deemed appropriate for the seriousness of the changes proposed.
