Items of Note
Ok...just a few items to mention today.
I will touch on the whole cartoon thing from an oblique angle. You see, Muslims are going mental everywhere because of 12 cartoons......however they aren't going mental about the fact that the prophet they've been protesting about, Mohammed, is having his home in Saudi Arabia bulldozed to make way for a 'parking lot, two 50-storey hotel towers and seven 35-storey apartment blocks'. Anyone see the problem? (edited to make it nice and clear)

A similar idea courtesy of A Tangled Web.
For those British readers, Bill Sticker has noticed a couple of important items that may have escaped your notice. First of all, apparently Tone is trying to end voting in local council elections in 2007.
Added to that, there is the small insignificant matter of bypassing Parliament in order to get legislation passed....aka The Legislative and Regulatory Reform Bill. Check out Spy Blog for more details.
I think it is time for a bit of protest I think....civil unrest of the polite kind. Maybe we can call for a vote of no confidence in the Government...which will force Her Majesty to call an election.
Sodding Power Hungry "£$£^$^$&(edit...because it's probably safer)!
Edit - Am I allowed to say that in this day and age, or has some law been passed which makes it illegal??

heyya ML,
excellent links, dude... wouldn't have known about the demolishment of the prophet's house if not for this article! Sad, though: the hypocrisy & cover-up is just disgusting. But worse: it's not all that surprising. *sigh!*
Prophet's house demolished? Was it one of John Prescott's policies?
Hypocrisy is the right word lynne.
Grose Fox - indeed it might have been. Maybe he has a Saudi equivalent.
