Doctor Who

Yes, the Doctor is back! I have seen very little about the new series, so I was intrigued as to how it would come out. It came out fine. The tune was not much changed from the last version so that was a good sign.

Christopher Eccleston is perfect as the Doctor, a little crazy and impulsive as ever, but different enough from the others. Billie Piper is good as Rose.

The Autons are good. Definitely something to be worried about. I like the TARDIS....very funky, yet believable as the box of old, especially with the dematerialise / rematerialise. That sound still sounds eerie after all these years. I reckon this is going to be a good series. I guess Ant and Dec will be missing a few viewers for the next 12 weeks.

Verdict : Excellent!

UPDATE: Ok...so Christopher Eccleston has quit after the first series...fears being typecast. Pardon? Oh, and not David Tennant to replace him.....appears to have the acting skills of a blank sheet of paper. Why not someone else? *ponders Bill Nighy* Funky. How will they explain that regeneration then? Short for a TimeLord. How many lives does he have left now?
