BA - pardon? British Airways is getting hammered because their T&G Union Members have decided to go on strike in support of fellow T&GU Members who have been sacked by a company who supplies BA amongst others.
Is this insane or what? BA are now having major problems because of something that has nothing to do with them.
Doesn't say much for the T&GU does it?
Bakri arrested in Lebanon! - yes!!

Not quite as simple as that. BA used to have a catering wing. They sold this off and the employees went to work for their new company Gate Gourmey. What the executive board at BA didn't realise was that all the women in the catering department were the wives of the men in the baggage department! So when the wives lost their jobs, the husbands and friends went on strike. Its not rocket science. To be honest it serves BA right for culling its catering business wing and buying a service from the cheapest out-sourcer. What sort of service did they expect?.. Had they realised it would have potentially shut their business down they would have kept the catering in house ;)
It is a little bit of an extreme reaction though.
Yes it is a bit extreme, but if you buy cheap you expect things to fall apart.. Luckily I chose Ryan air and don't have to worry about catered food ;)
Ryanair? You are brave. I've flown Easyjet, and that was my least comfortable flight so far.
The scary thing is that they spend more than Ryanair apparently.
Incidentally, I have flown BA (inc. Concorde), Qantas, Gulf Air, Cathay Pacific, Delta (actually, could be a close tie with Easyjet), and some little company that had bizjets (best flight in a while - plush leather seats..small plane though).
..oh and United Airlines on a 777.
