Tax in the UK is stupidly high...in fact higher than the German levels. Scary isn't it? Yes, prudence obviously went on a shopping spree...from Depleted Uranium.
Looks like the Lords is not impressed with the ID cards...forcing the government to provide details of costs.
Keeping with politics, it looks like George Galloway could be in trouble....apparently he has been able to sign a number of Early Day Motions....which, considering he is locked up in the Big Brother House, is quite an achievement.
Using MP3s to dj...could be in trouble with licensing.
Keeping in tech mode, a Freeview box sent out an SOS....which is a little odd to say the least. Maybe 'they' are coming....

Update#3 : I really need to get a new brain. What I should have said earlier is that Argos Employee appears to be in a bit of trouble with the company. Hope it isn't a permanent thing.

Tax is high in the UK? I guess you're talking about income tax? According to this world tax comparitor we pay less at the top end than Australia, Beligium, Denmark (of course), France, Germany (much higher starting tax & it goes to a higher level too), Ireland, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, and less at the bottom end than nearly everyone.
And out of that we get an NHS, Free education for all, accountable policing & a welfare state. On the whole I think here is better than most there's I've been to.
